I am a licensed clinical psychologist with offices in Manhattan, NY, working with relationships, couples, and individuals for over 15 years.
And most importantly I am a fellow mother of three never born children. I know what it is like when you’re trying to heal alone - without support. I know because I’ve done it.
I know firsthand the sorrow, the confusion, the isolation.
In my 15 years as a therapist, I’ve heard over and over from women who’ve had miscarriages, whether recently or 2, 5, 10, even 30 years ago. And witnessed how their pain feels raw.
Here’s what my clients have shared with me:
“I have nobody to talk to about my miscarriage.”
“My partner seems to have moved on, I want to...but I can’t.”
“When I went to my doctor, I was just given the facts and sent on my way. It was so cold and sterile. It felt like he couldn’t care less.”
“Every day feels like I’m just going through the motions.”
“I don’t feel like myself anymore.”
“I’m constantly anxious, like something bad is going to happen again.”
“My body failed me.”
“I keep replaying everything I did during the pregnancy, wondering if I caused this.”
And much, much more.
There are so many of us carrying the weight of this loss- not only the pain, but the question of how to honor it.
This is why I chose this MISSION to bring awareness and healing to as many women as possible, women like you and me who are walking this path...
